Position Overview:
The Senior Vice President of Housing Operations (SVPHO) plays a pivotal role in the leadership team, reporting directly to the Senior Vice President. This position is primarily accountable for the management of residential properties and the oversight of social services across approximately 13 locations, which represent a significant portion of the organization’s housing portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
Property Management:
- Oversee a total of 26 program budgets, ensuring fiscal accountability and optimal resource distribution to achieve program objectives.
- Support the team in meeting key performance metrics related to housing stability, unit occupancy, healthcare access, employment, and cleanliness.
- Collaborate with tenant management to ensure housing units meet occupancy targets.
- Identify potential risks and devise strategies to mitigate them, prioritizing member safety and security.
- Work alongside the Real Estate and Asset Management team on new property designs, renovations, capital improvements, and maintenance activities.
Residential Social Services:
- Establish and pursue annual objectives that align with the agency's strategic vision while ensuring effective daily service delivery and operations.
- Design and implement high-quality, measurable residential services and programs, integrating mission-driven and person-centered best practices.
- Innovate solutions to enhance the sustainability and funding of residential social services.
- Provide specialized training and programs to improve the operational efficiency of services, including Medicaid billable services and other supportive offerings for residents and staff.
- Ensure equitable service delivery by developing streamlined systems and processes that support direct service providers.
Organizational Leadership:
- Supervise a diverse team of over 100 individuals, including 3+ Directors responsible for managing properties, programs, and direct services for residents.
- Collaborate with Directors to evaluate program performance and budgets, identify process improvements, and address team development needs.
- Promote a culture of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion by supporting equitable organizational policies and practices.
- Work collaboratively with various departments to contribute to the strategic direction and overall health of the organization.
- Cultivate a work environment that fosters creativity, psychological safety, and resilience in the face of challenges.
