Position Overview
We are currently offering a rewarding opportunity for a Strategic Commercial Lead based in our Perth CBD Office, on a Full-Time permanent basis.
Key Responsibilities
As the Strategic Commercial Lead, your primary focus will be on enhancing value through the improvement of service delivery, quality assurance, compliance, and safety outcomes, while simultaneously minimizing risks and costs across Western Power's extensive portfolio of contracts.
This role entails providing expert advice and value-added services to mitigate commercial risks and capitalize on opportunities arising from contracts and ongoing supplier relationship management. This encompasses both 'buy-side' and customer contracts, with major clients including generators, retailers, and significant end users.
Your efforts will be directed towards developing sustainable solutions that align with customer service expectations and the overarching business objectives of Western Power.
Expertise Required
We are looking for candidates who possess the following qualifications and attributes:
- Degree in Law, Procurement, Contract Management, Business, Finance, or a related field, along with relevant experience.
- Strong analytical and conceptual skills, coupled with demonstrated commercial acumen and strategic insight.
- Exceptional influencing, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
- In-depth understanding of risk and compliance management, particularly in procurement contexts.
- Robust financial skills for evaluating financial and pricing models.
- Proficient contract management capabilities.
- Customer-centric approach with a focus on results.
- Knowledge of Contract Law, Construction Law, Australian Consumer Law, and associated regulations.
- Familiarity with the Australian Standard suite of contracts, including construction and supply agreements.
- Experience in presenting initiatives and recommendations to executive and board levels.
