Key Responsibilities:

  • Employs electrical and computer skills to program controls for production systems, ensuring maximum efficiency.
  • Diagnoses and resolves issues related to PLC/Servo/HMI, executing necessary repairs.
  • Acts as a technical resource for Operations, Reliability, Engineering, etc., addressing control-related challenges through troubleshooting, analysis, and practical corrective recommendations.
  • Identifies and proposes enhancements to plant performance by utilizing or refining existing control systems.
  • Communicates effectively with all levels of plant personnel.
  • Mentors Maintenance Technicians on automation systems.
  • Conducts scheduled preventive maintenance and monthly safety inspections.
  • Performs repairs and modifications to equipment and facilities as scheduled through the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Undertakes additional duties as assigned.

Position Overview:

  • Plant location: Garland, TX
  • Work schedule: 3rd shift Monday-Friday (9:30 pm-5:30 am)
  • Compensation: Starting at $36 per hour, dependent on experience.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Five years of experience in maintenance within a high-speed production setting.
  • Five years of experience with electrical and mechanical PLC-based applications in an industrial context.
  • Five years of experience with tools, procedures, and methods used in industrial maintenance.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting Allen Bradley RSLogix, 5/05, 500, 5000, and ME.
  • Experience using FactoryTalk AssetCentre for tracking user actions and initiating disaster recovery for FactoryTalk View SE applications.
  • Trained in ARC Flash safety protocols.
  • No immigration sponsorship is available for this position.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be capable of lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds.
  • Must successfully pass a drug screening, background check, and physical examination.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a Lean manufacturing environment.
  • Formal vocational training in plant maintenance with a focus on industrial applications or equivalent experience.
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and JDE.
  • Able to work in challenging conditions such as confined spaces, heat, and elevated areas.
  • Ability to perform in a high-pressure environment with demanding and irregular hours.
  • Strong understanding of interfacing with PLCs, scales, and display devices.
