Job Summary

Eloka Logistics LLC, an Amazon DSP, is seeking a skilled Fleet Service Technician to join our team. As a key member of our fleet maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our 42 delivery vehicles.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of vehicle service and preventive maintenance principles. While certification is not required, a willingness to learn and adapt to our fleet management systems is essential. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start a career in fleet management and supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose, maintain, repair, and service a wide range of fleet and specialized vehicles
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including fueling, oil changes, and coolant checks
  • Conduct preventive maintenance inspections to identify potential issues before they become major problems
  • Maintain accurate records of vehicle maintenance, repairs, and inspections
  • Collaborate with the fleet management team to develop and implement effective maintenance strategies
  • Assist with vehicle repairs and maintenance in the field, including on-site repairs and emergency response situations
  • Conduct installation and removal of auxiliary equipment as needed
  • Support the fleet management team in maintaining a safe and efficient work environment

Work Environment and Physical Demands

Candidates must be comfortable operating a variety of hand, power, and automotive equipment. Physical ability to lift and carry objects weighing approximately 50 pounds is required. The ability to move and load or unload material for vehicles, as well as push and maneuver heavy objects using carts or dollies, is also necessary.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school or equivalent education
  • Some aptitude for general car maintenance
  • Valid CA Driver's License; CMV or CDL qualified a plus
