Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Fleet Technician to join our team at Acme Freight. As a Fleet Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a wide variety of fleet and specialized vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair complex vehicle issues under general supervision
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements
  • Conduct inspections to identify potential issues and recommend repairs
  • Assist with fleet vehicle repair after damage and/or repair
  • Help conduct installation and removal of auxiliary equipment
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed and products used
  • Support on-the-road vehicle emergencies, which may require travel to stranded vehicles to assess and resolve situations

Work Environment and Physical Demands: The ideal candidate must be comfortable operating a variety of hand, power, and automotive equipment. Physical ability to lift and carry objects weighing approximately 50 pounds is required. Must be willing to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Valid CA Driver's License required; CMV or CDL qualified a plus
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
