Job Title: Service Technician

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Service Technician to join our team at Patterson Companies, Inc. in the DFW area. As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for installing and repairing dental equipment, providing exceptional customer service, and working collaboratively with our team to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:
  • Install and/or repair dental equipment, following manufacturer guidelines and Patterson's business conduct and code of ethics.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer needs in a timely and professional manner.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, using general terminology to explain technical aspects of using technology.
  • Manage inventory, determining parts and supplies needed to complete service requests.
  • Ensure personal and vehicle safety, maintaining a quality driving record and representing Patterson Dental while driving a company vehicle.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Mechanical aptitude required.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to take ownership of company and customer goals.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic computer skills and/or ability to use a smartphone/tablet.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
  • Ability to lift 25+ pounds.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Trade school training in carpentry, plumbing, heating, electricity, or electronics.
  • Excellent organization and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Teams.
Travel and On-call:
  • 100% travel to customer sites in a local geographic area.
  • Occasional overnight and/or after-hours travel.
