Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Biomedical Equipment Technician II to join our team at Methodist Health System. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining, testing, and calibrating advanced diagnostic and therapeutic medical equipment systems to ensure safe and proper operation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive scheduled maintenance and calibration procedures on assigned medical equipment per manufacturer's specifications and regulatory guidelines.
  • Provide quality technical assistance to customers on advanced medical equipment.
  • Perform safety testing on all medical equipment annually and after each repair or scheduled maintenance check.
  • Identify and address safety-related issues, providing corrective measures to fellow technicians and operators.
  • Perform unscheduled repairs in a timely manner on all medical devices assigned to your area of responsibility.
  • Provide customer follow-up after each repair is completed.
  • Develop and deliver safety and operator training on advanced medical equipment to hospital staff as needed.
  • Perform administrative duties, including completion of all paperwork associated with safety testing, scheduled, and unscheduled maintenance within two working days of work completion.

Requirements
  • Associate's degree in Biomedical Equipment Technology or a related field.
  • 4 years of experience working as a Biomedical Equipment Technician I.
  • Ability to use electronic hand tools and test equipment.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
