Role and Responsibilities
- Oversee GPU performance and functional modeling during the Pre-Silicon phase.
- Design functional models to validate architectural and micro-architectural concepts.
- Create functional models to ensure the correctness of RTL simulations.
- Develop performance models to gather performance metrics for various gaming applications and benchmarks.
- Establish unit-level functional and performance testing protocols.
- Collaborate with the RTL team to align performance models with hardware designs.
- Execute, analyze, and troubleshoot functional and performance tests to identify hardware and software issues.
- Work alongside cross-functional teams to diagnose and resolve performance bottlenecks in gaming applications and benchmarks.
- Engage with other teams to enhance performance across various gaming applications and benchmarks.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a closely related discipline.
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in GPU, Compute, AI, or a related field.
- In-depth understanding of GPU/Compute pipelines.
- Strong knowledge of GPU architecture.
- Proficient programming skills in C/C++.
- Excellent problem-solving, root cause analysis, and debugging capabilities.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Python or Perl is advantageous.
Compensation and Benefits
Salary range: $150,000 - $256,000. Employees may qualify for performance bonuses and both short-term and long-term incentive programs. Actual total compensation will depend on individual skills, experience, and qualifications. MediaTek also offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, life and disability insurance, a savings plan, paid holidays, paid time off (PTO), parental leave, a 401K plan, and more.
