Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and Execute Marketing Strategy: Create and implement a comprehensive marketing plan that aligns with the company's goals, including brand positioning, demand generation, customer acquisition, and retention.
  • Lead and Mentor Marketing Team: Foster a culture of creativity, collaboration, and high performance within the marketing team, ensuring they have the skills and resources needed to succeed.
  • Elevate and Maintain Brand Presence: Develop and execute a brand strategy that showcases BackerKit's unique value proposition and resonates with the target audience across all channels.
  • Drive Demand Generation: Oversee the creation and execution of campaigns that generate leads and drive customer acquisition, using data-driven approaches to optimize ROI.
  • Lead Content Strategy: Develop and execute a content marketing plan that produces high-quality, engaging content that resonates with the target audience.
  • Collaborate with Product Teams: Work closely with product teams to effectively communicate the value of BackerKit's solutions to the market, including positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategies.
  • Monitor and Analyze Marketing Performance: Track, analyze, and report on marketing performance, using insights to refine strategies and drive continuous improvement.
  • Manage Marketing Budget: Ensure efficient allocation of marketing resources to maximize impact.

Requirements

  • Proven Marketing Experience: 10+ years of experience in marketing, with a proven track record in a leadership role, ideally within a SaaS or tech company, encompassing both B2B and B2C domains.
  • Exceptional Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal skills for simplifying complex ideas into clear, concise messaging.
  • Analytical Proficiency: Solid data interpretation skills to drive informed decision-making.
  • Excellent Leadership Skills: Ability to collaborate within cross-functional teams, lead and mentor reports effectively.
  • Agile and Iterative Mindset: Comfortable with agile methodologies and iterative processes, adapting strategies based on feedback and market dynamics.
  • Marketing Strategy Expertise: Strategic thinker with the ability to execute, demonstrated experience in crafting comprehensive marketing plans.
  • Creative Storytelling Skills: A creative mindset with a passion for impactful content creation, UX writing, and storytelling.
  • Diverse GTM Skills: Experience in driving various GTM initiatives like webinars, trade shows, social media, and content marketing.
  • Ecosystem Familiarity: Knowledge of crowdfunding, e-commerce, and startup landscapes is beneficial.
  • Tech Savviness: Experience with marketing automation tools, CRM systems, and analytics platforms.
