About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Access Representative to join our team at Jefferson Health. As a key member of our outpatient registration team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to patients and families, ensuring a seamless registration experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clear and respectful communication to patients and families, ensuring their needs are met and their concerns are addressed.
  • Verify patient demographic and insurance information, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Collect and process patient payments, including co-pays, co-insurance, and deductibles.
  • Participate in the up-front point of service collection process, ensuring timely and accurate collection of patient payments.
  • Request and verify patient identification, ensuring accurate patient identification and confidentiality.
  • Continuously update and document patient registration records, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Requirements
  • High school degree or GED required; associate degree preferred.
  • Previous customer service experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Proficient in the use of computers and medical terminology.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and responsibilities.
