Position Overview:

Eligibility:
This position is open to all applicants. Candidates will be evaluated based on their preferences and eligibility for priority consideration.

Eligibility will be determined through the questionnaire, and necessary documentation must accompany the application.

Categories for consideration include Business Based Action, Military Spouse Preference, Outside Applicant Veteran, Spouse/Widow/Parent of Veteran, and Transition Hiring Preference.

Experience Requirements:

To qualify, candidates must possess relevant experience as outlined below. Experience includes both paid and unpaid roles, such as volunteer work through National Service programs and other organizations.

Credit will be given for all qualifying experience, including volunteer work.

Your resume should clearly outline your relevant experience; if applicable, educational qualifications will require submission of transcripts.


Required Qualifications:


Candidates must demonstrate experience that provides a thorough understanding of fund accounting methods, procedures, and techniques for maintaining and analyzing various account classes within the accounting system. This includes the ability to prepare financial reports and analyze the interrelationships of accounts influenced by diverse transactions.

Knowledge of NAF Accounting processes is essential.

Familiarity with General Ledger Account Codes (GLACs) and AF Forms for processing transactions in the General Ledger is highly advantageous.

Proficiency in general computer skills and the use of various automated software programs to generate a range of documents and reports is required.

Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, are necessary. Candidates must possess the ability to interact professionally with customers and the public. Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English is required. Additionally, candidates must successfully complete a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI).
