About the Role
The **VP, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Business Partner** will lead the operationalization of diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts in North America for the business units they support. This role will partner with business units across the organization to design and activate the delivery of the diversity, equity, and inclusion strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with business units to design and implement diversity, equity, and inclusion strategies that align with global organizational priorities.
- Lead the workforce and production diversity, equity, and inclusion team in the US to ensure the implementation of impactful evidence-based diversity, equity, and inclusion activities.
- Provide leadership, collaboration, and support to staff to translate the organizational vision for diversity, equity, and inclusion into role-specific actions and performance management/accountability systems.
- Serve as a thought leader in the diversity, equity, and inclusion team and build and maintain strong relationships with department, team, office, and functional leaders to identify and leverage diversity, equity, and inclusion opportunities.
- Coach and advise leaders to elevate their diversity, inclusion, and cross-cultural aptitude and competence.
- Build robust and sustainable diversity, equity, and inclusion strategies and initiatives that fit the needs of each business unit and production by leveraging qualitative and quantitative insights and lived experiences of employees and people from underrepresented groups.
- Establish metrics and KPIs to track the effectiveness of diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.
- Partner closely with People & Culture to support the diversity, equity, and inclusion needs of the business and to integrate diversity, equity, and inclusion goals into business plans and operational practices.
- Drive the strategic execution of Business & Creative Council diversity, equity, and inclusion roadmaps to accelerate change at a local level and develop regional diversity, equity, and inclusion strategy.
- Lead and manage diversity, equity, and inclusion projects from initiation to completion, ensuring milestones are met on time and within budget.
Requirements
- 10 years of experience working in a diversity, equity, and inclusion function for a global organization.
- Future-focused leader with a proven track record of developing and implementing successful diversity, equity, and inclusion strategies.
- Ability to navigate a matrixed organization that is complex, nuanced, and disparate in terms of legislative and regulatory environments, and cultural and societal norms, to deliver appropriate diversity, equity, and inclusion activities.
- Strong problem-solving and project management skills within diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Strong understanding of diversity, equity, and inclusion best practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to translate business goals into actionable diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.
- Experience leading and developing high-performing teams.
