Key Responsibilities:

Execute a broad range of general upkeep tasks, including facility management, machinery diagnostics, and preventive upkeep. Utilize expertise in electrical, mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, and metalworking to fulfill assigned responsibilities. Conduct maintenance activities with a strong emphasis on safety and adherence to best practices.

Install, repair, and sustain machinery and mechanical systems through preventive maintenance measures.

  • Identify problem sources by monitoring mechanical devices during operation.
  • Dismantle equipment and replace defective components as necessary.
  • Assess parts requirements by inspecting and measuring various instruments.
  • Manage inventories of equipment parts and supplies by reviewing stock levels and placing orders.
  • Educate production personnel on routine preventive maintenance procedures.
  • Offer mechanical maintenance guidance by responding to inquiries and requests.
  • Compile maintenance reports by gathering, analyzing, and summarizing relevant information and trends.
  • Ensure a safe and organized work environment by following established procedures, rules, and regulations.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:

The ideal candidate should possess the following:

  • Associate's Degree in Technology, Technical Certification, or relevant Military Maintenance/Technical Experience with a minimum of 4 years of applicable hands-on experience OR at least 7 years of relevant practical experience without formal training or degree.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in machinery troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance.
  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record for occasional use of company vehicles.
  • Ability to obtain a US Government Security Clearance, which is available to US Citizens.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

  • Electrical certification or Journeyman's Certificate.
  • Experience with PLCs and robotics.
  • Familiarity with NFPA 70: National Electrical Code & NFPA 70E: Electrical Safety in the Workplace.
  • OSHA Training.
  • Experience operating forklifts and aerial lifts.
  • Welding skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Proven capability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • History of making informed decisions and demonstrating initiative.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to shifting priorities.
  • Basic plumbing and carpentry knowledge.
  • Experience with tools common to the trade, including but not limited to digital multimeters, pipe threaders, table saws, and drill presses.
  • Working knowledge of electrical systems ranging from 120V to 480V, including machine control circuitry.
  • Familiarity with facility maintenance practices.

Physical Requirements:

  • Physically capable of performing all maintenance tasks, including climbing, working beneath machinery, and in confined spaces.
  • Ability to lift up to 70 pounds.
  • Normal color vision and finger dexterity.
