About the Job


The Certified Medical Assistant role at the University of Massachusetts is a critical part of our healthcare team. As a Medical Assistant, you will work closely with our healthcare providers to ensure that our students receive the highest level of care.


You will be responsible for assisting with patient care, including taking vital signs, preparing patients for exams, and administering medications. You will also perform administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments, verifying insurance coverage, and maintaining accurate records.

Requirements



  • A minimum of an Associate's degree from an accredited Medical Assistant program or successful completion of certification exam for CMA, RMA, or CCMA.
  • Ability to carry out written and verbal instructions, with good communication skills and a strong attention to detail.
  • Basic knowledge of hospital/clinic practices, techniques, equipment, and terminology, with the ability to learn new skills quickly.

Salary and Benefits


We offer a competitive salary of $45,000 - $55,000 per year, based on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
