Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Regional Public Health Nursing Specialist to join our team. This role involves facilitating preceptorships and clinical experiences for nursing students, supporting local public health staff and nurses, and acting as a subject matter expert in local public health nursing training programs.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Facilitate preceptorships and clinical experiences for nursing students with health departments and other direct-service nursing professionals in their region.
  2. Support all local public health staff and nurses with the planning and implementation of Foundational Public Health Service (FPHS) Programs.
  3. Act as a subject matter expert in the development of the Local Public Health Nursing Training Program.
  4. Develop systems of support for local public health organizations by meeting with organizations and partners in the assigned region.
  5. Lead classroom training and clinical applied practice of the Local Public Health Nursing Training Program in the assigned region.
  6. Perform site visits annually to health departments in the assigned region.
  7. Provide clinical consultation to local public health staff and nurses as requested.
  8. Deliver presentations on the profession of public health nursing to BSN students.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree.
  • A minimum of 12 years of work experience as a RN, with at least 5 years of experience as a Public Health Nurse at a Massachusetts local, regional, or state health department.
  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary of $93,000 - $125,000 per year, depending on experience, and a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
