Greenway Automotive is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Tags and Title Clerk to join our team. As a key member of our dealership, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth processing of vehicle titles and registrations.
Responsibilities:- Compile and maintain accurate records of outstanding title work, reporting to management on any issues or discrepancies.
- Process new and used vehicle registrations in the state where they will be titled, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
- Manage out-of-state title processing, working closely with management to resolve any issues that may arise.
- Develop and implement efficient schedules for tag and title work, ensuring timely completion of tasks.
- Apply for duplicate titles as needed, maintaining accurate records of all title-related activities.
- Conduct regular inventory checks of metal and temporary tags, ensuring accurate counts and reporting any discrepancies to management.
- Update notes in our system, tracking completed work and providing a clear audit trail.
- Print customer registrations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Manage title and trade pack inventory, ensuring that all necessary documents are up-to-date and accurate.
- Provide exceptional support to guests, management, and employees, answering questions and resolving issues related to titles and registrations.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest title regulations, attending seminars and workshops as needed to ensure compliance.
- Assist accounting personnel with title-related tasks, providing accurate and timely information as required.
- At least 2 years of experience in automotive title work, with a strong understanding of dealership accounting and CDK systems.
- Prior title work experience is essential, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
- Dealership accounting, CDK, and DealerDMV experience is highly desirable, as is Notary Public certification.
- A current, valid driver's license is required, as is excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organization skills, with the ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- A highly professional and dependable attitude, with a friendly demeanor and excellent telephone skills.
- Strong computer, typing, and internet skills, including Microsoft Office suite.
