Role Overview:

The Chief Operations Officer (COO) is a pivotal leadership position tasked with managing the daily operations of our multi-clinic psychiatry practice.

This executive will ensure the seamless and effective functioning of clinic operations, improve patient care services, and propel the strategic growth and operational excellence of the organization.

The COO will collaborate closely with the executive team, clinic managers, and medical personnel to ensure alignment with the organization's mission, vision, and values.


Key Responsibilities:

Operational Oversight:

Provide strategic and operational guidance to guarantee the effective operation of all clinics, encompassing patient care services, administrative functions, and facility management.


Strategic Development:

Partner with the executive team to formulate and execute strategic initiatives that bolster the growth and sustainability of the practice. Identify avenues for expansion and service enhancement.


Performance Evaluation:

Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate clinic performance, patient satisfaction, and operational efficiency. Implement improvement strategies as necessary.


Team Leadership:

Supervise the recruitment, training, and development of clinic managers and administrative personnel. Cultivate a positive and productive work environment that encourages professional growth and high performance.


Quality Management:

Ensure adherence to all regulatory standards and industry guidelines. Implement quality management programs to uphold the highest standards of patient care and safety.


Financial Management:

Develop and oversee the operational budget, ensuring financial objectives are achieved. Monitor revenue cycle management, optimize billing processes, and manage expenses.


Patient Engagement:

Enhance the patient experience by adopting best practices in patient care, streamlining appointment scheduling, and improving patient communication and follow-up.


Technology Implementation:

Oversee the deployment and utilization of electronic health records (EHR) systems, practice management software, and other technologies to enhance operational efficiency and patient care.


Stakeholder Engagement:

Build and maintain robust relationships with key stakeholders, including medical staff, patients, vendors, and community partners.


Human Resources Management:

Oversee Human Resources and payroll for Hopemark's workforce.


New Clinic Development:

Supervise new clinic operations, including the recruitment of key personnel and the implementation of technology and protocols.


Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, Business Administration, or a related field required; master's degree preferred.


Experience:

Minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare operations, ideally in a multi-clinic or outpatient environment. Experience in psychiatry or mental health services is highly desirable.


Skills:

Strong leadership, strategic planning, and operational management capabilities. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.


Knowledge:

Comprehensive understanding of healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and quality improvement processes. Proficiency in financial management and budgeting.


Technology Proficiency:

Familiarity with EHR systems, practice management software, and other healthcare technologies.
