Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to serve as an Extension Agent for Fine Arts in our Community Resource Development program. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, conducting, and delivering educational programs in fine arts to build a dynamic arts culture and improve quality of life for children and families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and evaluate educational programs in fine arts, including music, poetry, performing arts, and painting.
  • Work with advisory committees to facilitate community involvement in programming and develop materials to promote arts education.
  • Conduct outreach activities and provide volunteer training to reach underserved and diverse audiences.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to develop and implement educational programming, ensuring equal access to all citizens.
  • Utilize a variety of educational strategies, including informal classes, presentations, media, and experiential learning, to implement programming.
  • Collect evidence of program impact and market results to improve the program.
  • Build relationships with local artists and organizations to secure funding and manage budgets for program sustainability.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as Family and Consumer Science, with a Master's degree preferred.
  • Three to five years of experience in a related field, with a strong background in program development and implementation.
  • Excellent team building and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • Knowledge of educational technologies and their appropriate use in the development and delivery of educational programs.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, and establish and maintain effective working relationships.
Working Conditions
  • Must be able to lift large boxes up to 40 pounds.
  • Must be able to travel and work evenings and weekends.
  • Requires some standing or walking, with occasional exposure to unusual elements.
