QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A minimum of 5 years of recent experience in large-scale crop production with substantial equipment
  • Experience from planting through to harvest is preferred, though not mandatory; more experience in crop production is advantageous, and training may be provided
  • Capable of performing routine maintenance and general repairs
  • Skills in arc welding and fabrication are beneficial
  • Must possess a clean driving record
  • Seeking a motivated individual with a long-term career focus and a passion for agriculture
  • Ability to work independently while being trustworthy and responsible
  • Dependable, hardworking, and possessing a positive attitude

  • Experience in livestock production is preferred
  • Some familiarity with cow/calf operations is desirable

POSITION OVERVIEW:
Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is seeking an Agricultural Operations Assistant for a prominent crop and cattle producer. The operation utilizes modern equipment and boasts excellent facilities. This is a significant corn and soybean farming enterprise. The primary duties of this assistant involve operating machinery for the planting and harvesting of crops.

The responsibilities of this role will vary with the seasons and the operational needs, making it essential for the individual to be adaptable, flexible, and maintain a positive attitude.

We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work and is a self-motivated individual with a solid agricultural background and strong character.

The candidate should be capable of performing routine maintenance on equipment to ensure readiness for the upcoming crop season.

While some training will be provided, we require a person knowledgeable about cattle and calves who can assist in feeding during the winter months.

Experience in animal husbandry and health is preferred, along with skills in calving, feeding, veterinary care, fencing, and overall maintenance of the operation. The candidate must be able to follow instructions, present a neat appearance, demonstrate a strong work ethic, and possess a genuine passion for farming.

Strong problem-solving abilities are necessary, along with the capability to find and implement solutions as challenges arise, manage multiple tasks, and adapt to last-minute changes.

The candidate must also be able to collaborate effectively with others and be willing to assist colleagues when necessary, embodying the spirit of teamwork.
