POSITION OVERVIEW:
Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is seeking a Farm Assistant for a Nebraska agricultural operation. Candidates should possess a solid understanding and current experience with precision technology, GPS, and field mapping.

Above-average mechanical skills are required to maintain equipment during the off-season, ensuring readiness for the upcoming crop cycle.

During the off-season, the candidate may assist with tillage, grain transportation, and other maintenance tasks. The farm utilizes modern John Deere equipment and boasts excellent facilities, managing over 9,000 acres of corn and soybeans, with a portion irrigated and the remainder dryland.

The primary duties of the agricultural equipment specialist include operating machinery for planting and harvesting grain.

Responsibilities will vary with the seasons and operational needs, making flexibility and a positive attitude essential.

Candidates with experience in grain handling, drying, and storage, as well as the ability to climb grain bins, are preferred.

We seek individuals who take pride in their work, are self-motivated, and possess a strong agricultural background and solid character.

Candidates must be able to follow directions, maintain a neat appearance, demonstrate a strong work ethic, and exhibit a passion for farming. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to devise solutions as challenges arise are essential.

Ability to manage multiple tasks, adapt to changes, and work collaboratively with others is crucial.

There is no livestock on this farm, allowing for some downtime during the early winter months. Compensation will be based on experience in row crop production.

This progressive agricultural operation is looking for a long-term employee who desires to grow in responsibility and develop alongside the farm.
