Behavioral Health Specialist

Join Pelton Project as a Behavioral Health Specialist and contribute to the recovery of individuals in mental health and addiction recovery. This role involves providing person-centered and strength-based supports in a residential setting, helping residents with daily activities, and supporting their unique goals towards independent housing, employment, and sobriety.
Key Responsibilities:- Assess residents' strengths, housing histories, disabilities, and resource/support needs to develop individualized plans.
- Research community activities and develop internal activities/groups to support mental health recovery.
- Track resident goals and complete daily documentation on supports provided.
- Consult with residents and partner agencies to determine goals, needs, barriers, and preferences.
- Provide self-sufficiency workshops in independent living skills and assist clients with employment linkage and benefits establishment.
- Substantive working knowledge of evidence-based practices, including collaborative problem solving, person-centered planning, and trauma-informed care.
- Demonstrated knowledge of de-escalation, crisis intervention, and stabilization skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong collaboration skills.
- Valid OR driver's license and proof of insurance.
- Competitive hourly rate ($19.00-$24.00/hour)
