Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Faculty Member to join our Computer Information Technology department at Lone Star College. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching online courses in Computer Information Technology, developing and implementing instructional approaches, and providing exceptional student support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach online courses in Computer Information Technology, utilizing innovative methodologies and delivery methods to engage students and promote learning.
  • Develop and use a variety of teaching methods and materials to assist students in meeting course objectives.
  • Evaluate student progress and provide timely feedback to ensure students achieve course objectives.
  • Submit required college reports and forms, and maintain professional relationships with students, colleagues, and the community.
  • Participate in professional development and institutional service, as determined in consultation with their supervisor.

  • Mastery of course content and demonstrated leadership skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to diversity, ability to appreciate alternative viewpoints, and ability to work effectively with a wide variety of people.
  • Commitment to academic excellence, exceptional service, and providing a dynamic climate for life-long learning.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in online teaching and learning, online course development and delivery, and online teaching platforms and tools.
