Job Summary

Lone Star College is seeking a highly qualified Faculty Member to teach Biology courses online. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating an engaging and inclusive learning environment, developing and delivering high-quality course materials, and assessing student learning outcomes.

The ideal candidate will have a master's degree or higher in theoretical or applied biology or life sciences, and experience working in online teaching and learning. A strong commitment to academic excellence, exceptional service, and providing a dynamic climate for life-long learning is essential.

This is a part-time, adjunct faculty position, with a flexible schedule that may include evenings and weekends. The successful candidate will be required to meet with classes at all scheduled times and be available to students outside of class instruction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach online Biology courses in response to institutional needs
  • Develop and use a variety of teaching methods and materials that assist students in meeting course objectives
  • Evaluate students to measure their progress toward achievement of stated course objectives
  • Submit required college reports and forms
  • Maintain professional relationships with students, colleagues, and the community
