Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician II to join our team at the City of Tigard. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing our buildings, equipment, and grounds.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and repair facilities, equipment, and buildings, including carpentry, electrical, painting, plumbing, heating and air conditioning, and mechanical repair work.
  • Perform journey-level carpentry work, including construction, installation, remodeling, and repair of cabinets, partitions, walls, windows, doors, roofs, foundations, and other carpentry work.
  • Provide locksmith duties for City facilities, including checking and repairing door locks, paddle locks, and panic hardware, and providing re-keying services.
  • Maintain accurate records, order supplies, parts, and materials, and pick up parts as necessary.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, plans, technical manuals, sketches, and diagrams to facilitate installation, servicing, repair, and replacement services and activities.
Requirements
  • Equivalent to completion of the twelfth (12th) grade.
  • Two (2) years of skilled building maintenance or construction work.
