About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Product Designer to join our team at SmartLogic. As a key member of our design team, you will play a critical role in shaping the user experience of our custom web and mobile applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with our multidisciplinary team, including engineers, project managers, and designers, to understand project requirements and deliverables.
  • User Research and Analysis: Conduct user research to gain insights into user behaviors, needs, and preferences, and apply design principles, usability testing, and research findings to enhance the overall user experience.
  • Design and Prototyping: Design and prototype user interfaces, including wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes, using industry-standard tools.
  • Client Communication and Feedback: Participate in client demonstrations, clearly articulating design concepts and justifying design decisions, and demonstrate a customer service mindset with responsiveness to client needs.
  • Agile Ceremonies and Task Management: Participate in agile ceremonies and manage relevant tasks in our project management tool, ClickUp.
  • Peer Review and Quality Assurance: Perform peer reviews on work products of others and your own to enhance the overall quality of design work at SmartLogic.
Requirements
  • Agile Experience: Must have prior experience working in an agile environment, performing consulting/agency work, and be comfortable and successful working within budget and timeframe constraints.
  • Initiative and Independence: Ability to show initiative and work independently to execute project work.
  • Client Prioritization and Quality: Demonstrated track record balancing client priorities while ensuring quality of user experience, including operating within time and budget constraints and context switching among projects.
  • Design Tools and Accessibility: Expert level proficiency with Figma for design and prototyping, familiarity with CSS framework (we use Tailwind UI for most projects), and experience with accessibility principles, standards, and best practices, including WCAG 2.1 or later.
  • Communication and Presentation: Experience presenting designs to clients, implementing feedback, and working with developers to implement approved designs.
  • Location and Availability: Must reside in the USA, legally authorized to work in the United States, and be available to work our core working hours of 10am-3:30pm US Eastern Time Monday through Friday.
