BAE Systems Precision Strike (PS) Business Area is seeking a Program Engineering Manager (PEM) for the Precision Guidance and Sensing Solutions (PGSS) Product Line. This role is pivotal in leading initiatives related to cost-effective radar and EOIR seeker technologies. The selected candidate will oversee planning, technical direction, engineering staffing, budgeting, scheduling, scope management, and risk assessment, while ensuring effective team collaboration.

The position is based in a state-of-the-art facility, where our Engineering team operates within a dynamic and flexible environment, supported by the extensive resources of BAE Systems. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical leadership across projects, adhering to programmatic guidelines established by the customer and Product Line.
  • Define, develop, and assess customer project requirements and expectations.
  • Engage with clients to identify opportunities, communicate solutions, and manage project scope.
  • Guide projects to ensure clarity and adherence to work scope, timelines, and budget constraints.
  • Lead teams in planning and execution in alignment with company protocols, facilitating coordination between functional managers and Product Line Leads.
  • Act as the Engineering focal point for all program activities, including strategic planning, bid support, integrated engineering plans, issue tracking, and risk management.
  • Promote continuous improvement within the product team.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards as per company policies.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 12 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Active Secret clearance.
  • Demonstrated leadership in program engineering.
  • At least 4 years of engineering experience in leading efforts related to missile or munition low-cost seeker technologies (RF and EOIR).
  • Proven ability to manage projects and engage with clients effectively.
  • Results-driven with a focus on closure and decision-making.
  • Resilience and boldness in addressing complex design challenges.
  • Experience in guiding teams through system integration and verification of intricate systems.
  • Experience in collaborative execution across multiple business units and locations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 6 years of experience in leading programs related to missile or munition technologies and developing opportunities for seekers/sensors (EOIR, RF/Radar).
  • Domain expertise in RF and EOIR Seekers.
  • Experience in leading programs with budgets of $40M or more for Technology Maturation or Engineering and Manufacturing Development.

Compensation Information:

Full-Time Salary Range: $250,400

This range is reflective of our market pay structures, with individual salaries influenced by various factors, including business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications such as skills, education, and experience.
