Job Title: Environmental Technician

Baker Construction Enterprises is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Environmental Technician to join our team. As an Environmental Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and promoting safe working conditions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct construction site inspections and field audits to identify potential environmental hazards.
  • Assist in the implementation of project-specific environmental plans and ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
  • Develop and maintain environmental records, including chemical inventories and waste profiles.
  • Participate in the investigation of environmental release incidents and communicate findings to site project management teams.
  • Collaborate with safety, operations, and risk management teams to integrate safe means and environmentally compliant methods.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM field or Occupational Safety and Health, or related field from an accredited college or university.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft software programs, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to use Adobe and Bluebeam software.
  • Working knowledge of common regulations for the concrete construction industry.
  • Ability to exert physical effort, handling average weight objects up to 20 pounds.

  • Ability to read and comprehend environmental procedures.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers in a team environment.
  • Ability to present information to all levels of co-workers throughout the project.
  • Ability to analyze and compute mathematical values.
  • Ability to work with co-workers to integrate safe means and environmentally compliant methods.
