Job Summary

Idaho National Laboratory is seeking a highly skilled Environmental Regulatory Compliance Professional to join our Environmental Support & Services department. This role will work a 4x10 schedule located out of our MFC facility with every Friday off.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and implement environmental requirements to ensure compliance with applicable rules, regulations, and standards.
  • Develop and maintain environmental procedures to ensure INL work scope is compliant, including complex regulatory interpretations and resolution of potential or actual compliance issues.
  • Stay up-to-date on existing and proposed changes in federal, state, and local environmental regulations, including RCRA, CERCLA, NEPA, EPCRA, CAA, CWA, NHPA, SDWA, TSCA, and radioactive waste management.
  • Collaborate with Federal and State regulators and ISO-14001 auditors for environmental inspections and respond to identified areas of concerns or non-compliances.
  • Assess environmental risk and develop required risk-mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor and evaluate implementation of environmental requirements using assessments and surveillance.
  • Contribute to the development of short and long-term plans to achieve annual goals and work standards focused on achieving INL's mission and assigned priorities.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science degree in a science or engineering field.
  • Relevant experience or a Master's degree.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy 'L' clearance, which requires US Citizenship.
