Extension Educator, Family and Consumer Sciences Professional

Oklahoma State University Extension is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Extension Educator, Family and Consumer Sciences to join our team. As a key member of our Cooperative Extension Service, you will provide research-based information to clientele in the areas of family and consumer sciences, 4-H youth development, and community and rural development.
Key Responsibilities- Provide leadership to family and consumer sciences (FCS) programs and support 4-H youth development initiatives.
- Develop and implement educational programs to promote healthy lifestyles, financial literacy, and community development.
- Collaborate with local clientele, advisory groups, and other professionals to plan, implement, and evaluate programs.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in FCS and 4-H youth development.
- Communicate effectively with diverse audiences through various channels, including presentations, publications, and social media.
- Bachelor's degree in Family and Consumer Sciences or a related field.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for travel connected with official duties.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities, situations, and day-to-day demands.
- Strong writing, communication, and organizational skills.
- Commitment to continuing personal professional development.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with clientele, advisory groups, and other professionals.
- Master's degree in Family and Consumer Sciences or a related field.
- Previous experience in Cooperative Extension or closely related work.
