Job Summary: As an Extension Educator, Agricultural Specialist, County Director, you will provide administrative leadership for county Extension operations, including personnel management, staff development, budgeting, and program planning. This role involves working in the areas of agriculture, family and consumer sciences, 4-H youth development, and community development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement agricultural and/or Family and Consumer Sciences development programs.
- Facilitate county program planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Ensure compliance with all laws and regulations related to equal opportunity and civil rights.
- Collaborate with local clientele and advisory groups to achieve program goals.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Family & Consumer Sciences, Education, Social Sciences, or related field.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and adapt to changing priorities.
- Strong writing, communication, and organizational skills.
- Commitment to personal professional development.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with various stakeholders.
- Preferred: Master's degree in related field and previous experience in Cooperative Extension.
