About the Position

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Extension Educator to lead our 4-H Youth Development program in Cleveland County. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating educational programs that foster positive youth development and community engagement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver research-based educational programs for youth and adults in agriculture, family sciences, and community development.
  • Provide leadership and management for the overall county 4-H youth development program, including program planning, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Collaborate with local clientele, advisory groups, and volunteer leaders to plan and implement programs that meet the needs of the community.
  • Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including youth, families, and community organizations.
  • Stay up-to-date with best practices in youth development and education, and apply this knowledge to program design and implementation.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Family & Consumer Sciences, Education, Social Science, or closely related field.
  • No experience required, but a strong desire to work with youth and communities is essential.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for travel connected with official duties.
  • Reimbursement for official travel.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Agriculture, Family & Consumer Sciences, Education, Social Science, or closely related field.
  • Experience in Cooperative Extension or closely related work is desirable.
