About the Position

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Extension Educator to join our team at InsideHigherEd. As an Extension Educator, you will play a critical role in providing research-based information to our clients in the areas of family and consumer sciences, 4-H youth development, and community and rural development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership to family and consumer sciences (FCS) programs and support 4-H youth development initiatives
  • Develop and implement educational programs to promote healthy lifestyles, financial literacy, and community development
  • Collaborate with local clientele and advisory groups to plan, implement, and evaluate programs
  • Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including OHCE members, professionals, and community leaders
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in family and consumer sciences and 4-H youth development
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Family and Consumer Sciences or a related field
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Strong communication, writing, and organizational skills
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and situations
  • Commitment to continuing professional development
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Family and Consumer Sciences or a related field
  • Previous experience in Cooperative Extension or a related field
