Position Summary
North American Lighting (NAL) is seeking a Production Engineer - I. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, designing, and executing production processes, ensuring manufacturability of new product designs, and overseeing molding operations within the production environment.
Key Responsibilities
Your Focus Areas
- Deliver daily technical assistance for the molding operations within the facility.
- Facilitate new product launch initiatives for designated departments.
- Resolve customer inquiries and complaints by conducting thorough investigations, performing root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions, utilizing NAL's problem-solving methodologies.
- Assist in mold trials prior to the arrival of molds at NAL, collaborating with Tool Engineering and external tool shops, which may involve domestic and international travel.
- Lead and engage in continuous improvement projects aimed at enhancing quality, productivity, and safety, while minimizing scrap and machine downtime.
- Create and refine check sheets for all production machinery to ensure effective preventative maintenance and monitor machine conditions.
Your Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field, with 0 - 2 years of relevant manufacturing experience OR
- Associate's Degree, with 2 - 4 years of relevant manufacturing experience.
