Job Summary:

The Accounting Manager Consultant at RoseRyan is responsible for overseeing the accounting team, implementing processes, managing the month/year-end close process, and ensuring daily transactional tasks (accounts payable/receivables, cash receipts, general ledger, payroll, cash forecasting, etc) are completed timely and accurately.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Supervision: Supervise the accounting team and provide training and mentoring to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Process Improvement: Monitor and analyze department workflow to develop efficient procedures and the use of resources, resulting in improved productivity and reduced costs.
  • Deadline Management: Ensure all deadlines are met, and tasks are completed on time to maintain a smooth operation.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and monthly financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Accounting Systems: Maintain the general ledger system, ensuring it is up-to-date and accurate, and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Compliance: Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Audit Support: Assist in the annual audit process and respond to audit questions as needed to ensure a smooth audit process.
  • Project Management: Assign projects and direct staff to ensure compliance and accuracy, and provide recommendations to the Controller as needed.
  • Best Practices: Utilize best practice standard tools, templates, and methodologies in the delivery of client services.
  • Financial Objectives: Meet financial accounting objectives, and make recommendations to improve financial performance.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 8+ years of experience in accounting and finance roles.
  • Industry Experience: 3+ years of industry experience in manufacturing, biotech, medical devices, and fintech highly desired.
  • Education: BS Degree in accounting, finance, or work experience equivalent.
  • Supervisory Experience: 5+ years of prior supervisory experience in a large private or public company.
  • Accounting Software: Proficiency in accounting software, such as NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, JDE, Great Plains, etc.
  • MS Excel: MS Excel proficiency, including VLOOKUP's, Pivot Tables, and Macros.
