Role Summary:
The Senior Client Relationship Manager serves as the primary sales liaison, tasked with achieving or surpassing targeted volumes and contributions for refrigerated cargo shipments within the U.S. Southeast region, while managing established trade routes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Formulate and uphold a customer and trade-lane specific business strategy to meet or exceed weekly production goals.
- Plan and oversee sales territories, ensuring a designated number of client interactions are conducted weekly, excluding necessary management meetings, holidays, and vacations.
- Leverage travel and client entertainment budgets to enhance customer relations and achieve business objectives.
- Identify and qualify new business prospects.
- Ensure effective follow-up occurs post-sales calls, documenting the outcomes of each interaction.
- Conduct a minimum number of cold outreach calls quarterly to expand the active customer base within the designated sales territory.
- Prepare and submit required weekly management reports.
- Facilitate weekly sales meetings with the Regional Sales Manager, communicating outcomes to upper management, focusing on budget comparisons, business plan assessments, competitive insights, and account changes.
- Lead weekly discussions on trade-lane opportunities and targeted account initiatives.
Additional Duties:
Perform miscellaneous related tasks or projects as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Proficient in computer applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills.
- Capability to work autonomously.
- Effective negotiation skills.
- Aptitude for managing multiple tasks concurrently.
Education and Experience:
A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional experience is required, along with a minimum of 6 years in the industry, ideally with 4 years in outside sales roles.
