About Our Team:

The SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting team plays a vital role in ensuring compliance with financial reporting requirements set forth by the Securities and Exchange Commission ("SEC") while providing essential technical guidance to the Finance and Accounting departments.

Role Overview:

The Senior Manager of SEC Reporting, Technical Accounting, and SOX will oversee the SEC reporting processes, manage technical accounting inquiries regarding new and upcoming accounting standards, and lead the SOX Project Management Office (PMO). This pivotal finance position will require collaboration with various levels of personnel within the organization, as well as with both internal and external auditors. The successful candidate will need to establish robust working relationships with cross-functional teams and senior leadership.

  • Direct the financial reporting team in the preparation and submission of all financial documents and SEC filings.
  • Collaborate with the Investor Relations team on various deliverables, including earnings announcements, investor Q&A sessions, and presentations.
  • Review and support the annual proxy and other SEC filings to ensure the precision of relevant financial data.
  • Conduct research on complex technical accounting issues, including debt offerings, lease accounting, derivatives, and manufacturing accounting.
  • Perform research and documentation for the implementation of new standards and various complex transactions such as mergers and acquisitions.
  • Engage with key stakeholders to advance SOX program management activities, including planning and testing, and drafting relevant SOX policies.
  • Assist in developing financial policies in response to operational changes or technical accounting requirements.
  • Support Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) in the forecasting process.
  • Mentor and develop team members.
  • Lead or contribute to special projects as required.
Candidate Profile:
  • Highly motivated with a strong work ethic and a hands-on approach.

  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.

Qualifications:
  • Significant experience, ideally a combination of Big 4 public accounting and high-tech industry exposure.
  • Thorough understanding of U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations.
  • Extensive experience in researching complex accounting issues.
  • Familiarity with key aspects of SOX compliance, including risk assessment and internal control evaluation.
  • Project management experience.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (preferably in accounting).
  • CPA certification or completion of CPA exams.
  • Experience in Cost and Inventory Accounting is preferred.
Work Arrangement:

This position is based in Fremont, CA, with a hybrid work model requiring in-office attendance on designated days.
