Key Responsibilities:


This role is responsible for overseeing the complete hiring process, which includes identifying business requirements, crafting and executing a sourcing strategy, evaluating candidates, and extending offers.

Primary duties involve collaborating with senior leadership within the organization and across Human Resources (HR) to meet hiring goals for designated business units and manage approved vacancies.


As a Talent Acquisition Consultant at National Black MBA Association, you will support our executive recruitment efforts and play a crucial role in realizing our strategic vision by developing strategies to identify, attract, engage, and secure top talent in the industry.

As part of the Executive Recruiting team, you will implement proactive, personalized approaches to build diverse talent networks and enhance brand visibility within the external talent community.

You will partner with leadership to connect with exceptional individuals whose skills and experiences will influence and support our talent strategy.


Responsibilities Include:


Conducting intake meetings with hiring managers to grasp business needs and managing requisition workflows within the applicant tracking system.


Building a pipeline of candidates with the required skills by developing and executing sourcing strategies, conducting outreach, and assessing candidates through comprehensive phone interviews to identify, attract, and recruit suitable talent.


Coordinating the interview process with hiring managers and business leaders, providing feedback from screening interviews to prepare hiring managers effectively.


Promoting a more diverse and inclusive workplace by ensuring the hiring process leverages a pool of candidates with varied backgrounds and experiences.


Ensuring compliance with all legal aspects of recruiting and candidate selection, including applicable federal and state recruitment regulations.


Driving recruitment efforts for senior internal and external talent.


Creating an informed, consultative talent strategy based on targeted research, industry insights, and candidate data.


Identifying, attracting, engaging, and securing top talent.


Collaborating with executives and HR partners to assess current and future executive talent acquisition needs.


Building robust, diverse candidate slates.


Developing influential partnerships with hiring managers, internal recruiting partners, and business stakeholders.


Communicating and collaborating with business partners and stakeholders across the organization.


Working closely with business executives and HR teams to map target companies' organizational structures.


Negotiating complex competitive offer packages.


Guiding and educating business leaders and partners on the Talent Acquisition process and applicable laws.


Maintaining strict confidentiality regarding talent planning, succession planning, and organizational design.


Establishing effective executive search methodologies and best practices.


Required Qualifications:

- 5-7 years of professional-level recruiting experience managing the search and selection process for executive roles.
- Strong understanding of the current competitive talent landscape.
- Demonstrated experience in understanding executive compensation and crafting competitive offers.
- Proven ability to demonstrate strategic thinking, facilitation, client service orientation, and leadership.
- Expertise in developing sourcing strategies and conducting outreach.
- Strong client management experience with credibility, presence, and the ability to influence executives and provide consultative services.
- Experience providing fact-based assessments of talent and making clear recommendations.
- Proven experience managing multiple competing priorities simultaneously, with strong prioritization and time management skills.
- Flexibility and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, action-oriented environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral.

Desired Qualifications:

- Current executive-level recruiting experience in the industry.
- Previous leadership experience.
- BA/BS degree in business, communications, human resources, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
