The Role of the Supervisor RN
As a Supervisor RN, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of the Nursing Department. Your responsibilities will include coordinating patient care from admission to discharge, assessing and planning patient pathways, and implementing critical pathways to achieve identified outcomes. You will also be responsible for supervising the daily activities of nursing staff and ensuring the provision of quality nursing care to patients receiving services within the department.

Key Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, evaluate, and ensure the implementation of patient pathways to achieve identified outcomes
- Assume a leadership role in the provision of quality nursing care for patients receiving services within the department
- Supervise the smooth functioning of the unit on assigned shifts while coordinating with management and other supervisors
- Develop plans to meet short-term objectives and prioritize tasks to ensure their completion

Qualifications and Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a current license in the state where you practice, as well as Basic Cardiac Life Support certification. A Bachelor's degree in Nursing or Master's degree in Nursing/Management is preferred. At least 5 years of relevant experience, including 1-2 years as a supervisor, is required. The salary range for this position is $80,000 - $110,000 per year.
