Role Summary:

The Inside Sales Representative for Government will play a crucial role in expanding our sales channel through various government entities. This position entails owning a sales quota and leading the identification, development, analysis, and finalization of budget and cost proposals for multiple agencies. Additionally, the representative will manage contracts post-acquisition.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the proposal pricing process, ensuring competitive, compliant, and precise cost proposals that align with solicitation requirements and internal policies.
  • Exhibit a thorough understanding of federal pricing and cost analysis principles, applying these concepts broadly.
  • Assist in government contracting activities, including acquisition planning, proposal evaluation, and the interpretation/application of federal procurement regulations.
  • Construct cost proposals based on existing pricing models according to customer RFP/RFQ timelines, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Analyze pricing data to assess competition, demand, economic conditions, and supplier costs, identifying industry pricing trends.
  • Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, within a collaborative team environment.
  • Utilize various bidding systems to support procurement opportunities.
  • Evaluate win/loss trends and recommend adjustments to enhance award success rates.
  • Perform additional tasks as required.

Qualifications:

  • Mandatory experience with DIBBS and familiarity with VSM.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to manage and organize extensive datasets.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced and occasionally high-pressure environment.
  • Basic knowledge of standard business equipment operation.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
  • Understanding of FAR/DFAR purchasing practices and procedures.
  • Familiarity with Bills of Material and bidding systems.
  • Must be able to pass a drug screening and background check.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent analytical capabilities, able to manage multiple tasks independently.
  • Team-oriented with a focus on positive, professional interactions.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and accurately in English, both verbally and in writing.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, accounting, or a related field preferred.
  • Military experience is a plus.
  • 2-4 years of direct experience in vendor or subcontractor quote or proposal analysis.
  • Experience in proposal cost preparation and analysis within the federal sector, including knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR).
  • Experience in interpreting technical data, engineering drawings, and manufacturing instructions is preferred.
