Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sales plans to achieve sales targets and grow revenue in the government sector.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities with government agencies and buying entities.
- Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers and influencers in the government sector.
- Develop and present competitive, compliant, and accurate cost proposals that meet the needs of government clients.
- Support government contracting activities, including acquisition planning, proposal evaluation, and interpretation/application of federal procurement regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of sales strategies and initiatives.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, market developments, and regulatory changes that impact government sales.
Requirements
- Proven track record of success in government sales, with a strong understanding of federal procurement regulations and procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with government clients and stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and present complex sales proposals.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite, with experience working with bidding systems and proposal management tools.
- Knowledge of FAR/DFAR purchasing practices and procedures, as well as experience with Bills of Material and bidding systems.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, accounting, or related field preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Military experience or background in government contracting.
- Experience working with DIBBS and VSM bidding systems.
- Knowledge of contract cost and price evaluation techniques.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
