Position Overview:

We are in search of a dynamic and enthusiastic Retail Associate who shares our commitment to delivering exceptional products and outstanding customer service. The Retail Associate will collaborate closely with store leadership and report directly to the General Manager. This role is pivotal in ensuring our customers receive personalized service, exceeding their expectations, and showcasing our diverse range of cannabis products, promotions, and deals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate customer needs, provide tailored product knowledge, and execute transactions with precision and efficiency.
  • Utilize suggestive selling techniques and demonstrate a willingness to upsell to all customers.
  • Embrace constructive feedback and engage in coaching from management.
  • Assist with inventory management tasks as required.
  • Adhere to scheduled shifts and comply with the company's attendance policies.
  • Follow all safety regulations and company policies.
  • Promote the benefits of being a JARS customer, including our Loyalty Program and referral incentives.
  • Accurately record transactions in the POS system, ensuring the integrity of the cash drawer.
  • Perform opening and closing duties as necessary.
  • Address customer concerns by escalating issues to management when appropriate.
  • Maintain a positive demeanor, treating customers and colleagues with respect.
  • Ensure the sales floor is neat, clean, and organized.
  • Be flexible to fill in during staffing shortages and be open to cross-training.
  • Integrate JARS company policies and procedures into daily interactions and tasks.
  • Respond promptly and appropriately to customer and coworker requests.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in customer service within a retail, sales, or hospitality setting.
  • Knowledge of cannabis strains and their applications is preferred.
  • Experience in the cannabis or health industry is highly desirable.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Basic math skills are required.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A high school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) is required.
Work Environment/Physical Requirements:
  • Position requires prolonged standing and some bending, stooping, and stretching.
  • Ability to operate a computer, POS system, and other office equipment.
  • Occasional lifting of up to 30 pounds may be required.
  • Work is typically performed in a fast-paced retail cannabis environment.
  • Frequent interaction with customers and staff is expected.
  • Availability to work varied hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
