The Inside Sales Representative will play a pivotal role in expanding our sales channel by engaging with a diverse clientele across multiple sectors, including Government, Construction, Manufacturing, Elevator, and Steel Mills. This position entails ownership of a sales quota and involves the identification, development, analysis, and finalization of budget and cost proposals for various clients and prospects. The successful candidate will manage contracts post-acquisition.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue business opportunities with both existing and prospective customers through proactive outreach.
  • Lead the proposal pricing process, crafting competitive and compliant cost proposals that align with solicitation requirements and internal policies.
  • Support government contracting activities, including acquisition planning and proposal evaluation, while ensuring adherence to federal procurement regulations.
  • Develop cost proposals based on existing pricing models in response to customer RFP/RFQ schedules.
  • Conduct pricing data research to assess competition, analyze demand, and monitor supplier costs.
  • Communicate effectively within a team environment, both verbally and in writing.
  • Utilize various procurement bidding systems to facilitate bidding opportunities.

Required Skills and Abilities

  • Exceptional organizational and follow-up skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to manage and organize large datasets.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced and occasionally high-pressure environment.
  • Basic knowledge of standard business equipment operation.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
  • Must pass a drug screening and background check.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical capabilities, able to manage multiple tasks independently.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
  • Demonstrate professionalism and positive behavior in all interactions.
  • Clear and concise communication skills in English, both verbal and written.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Familiarity with FAR/DFAR purchasing practices and bidding systems is highly beneficial.
  • Experience with DIBBS and VSM.
  • Knowledge of various bidding systems.

Education and Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, accounting, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Inside Sales Representative in a similar industry.
  • Military experience is a plus.
  • Experience in proposal cost preparation and analysis within the federal sector, including knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR).
  • Ability to interpret technical data, engineering drawings, and manufacturing instructions is preferred.
