About the Recruiting Associate Role

Ohio State University Physicians, Inc. is seeking an entry-level Recruiting Associate to join our Human Resources team. As a Recruiting Associate, you will play a critical role in coordinating the processes and procedures associated with supporting the centralized recruitment function.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Full-Cycle Recruitment Process: Participate in the full-cycle recruitment process, including job postings, phone screenings, resume screening, coordinating interviews, reference checks, offer letters, and coordinating new employee onboarding and pre-employment requirements.
  • Job Board Management: Utilize job boards for external advertising and digital and social media sites for recruitment. Collaborate with vendors to ensure appropriate postings, full utilization of digital campaigns, and effective applicant reach.
  • Applicant Tracking Systems: Utilize the Applicant Tracking Systems and complete data entry related to recruiting activities, job postings, and hiring.
  • Pre-Employment Onboarding: Initiate, monitor, and coordinate pre-employment onboarding and candidate communication activities, such as reference checks, background checks, drug testing, obtaining compensation approval, drafting letters of offers, initiating access requests, requesting ID badges, extending offers, and completing any internal documentation.
  • Recruitment Metrics: Maintain recruitment metrics for open and filled positions.
  • Recruiting Trends and Best Practices: Maintain knowledge of current recruiting trends, best practices, and recruiting networks. Recommend process improvements, recruiting initiatives, and offer creative solutions to challenges.
  • Partner with Managers: Act as a partner to managers, guiding them through the hiring process, providing feedback through the recruitment process, and proactively identifying recruiting challenges.
  • Collaborate with Hiring Manager and HR Generalists: Collaborate with the hiring manager and HR Generalists during the offer process, related to salary ranges, incentives, start dates, orientation, and other details.
  • Network Development: Identify, build, and maintain networks through industry groups and contacts, association memberships, and current employees, schools, career fairs, and other recruitment professionals to identify qualified candidates and expand our talent pools.
  • Recruitment Updates: Provide regular recruitment updates and feedback to Recruiting Supervisor and HR Generalists.
  • Compliance: Ensure all recruiting activities align with all state regulations, federal regulations, and internal compliance standards.
Qualifications:
  • Education and Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 months experience in Human Resources recruiting role.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Practical knowledge of general HR principles and employment law. Ability to multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced environment. Excellent time management and organizational skills. Demonstrate a high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations, and ability to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization with poise, tact, and diplomacy.
  • Technical Skills: Knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing and spreadsheet software (MS Word, Excel). Ability to provide continual attention to detail. Excellent customer service skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
