Job Title: Health and Wellness Manager

The Boys and Girls Clubs of Hartford Inc is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Health and Wellness Manager to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for creating and implementing programs that promote physical, mental, and emotional health among our youth members.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Program Development: Design and implement health and wellness programs that meet the needs of our members, including sports leagues, fitness classes, and healthy lifestyle workshops.
  • Community Partnerships: Develop and maintain relationships with local health and wellness organizations, schools, and community groups to provide resources and opportunities for our members.
  • Staff Supervision: Supervise and train part-time Health and Wellness Assistants to ensure the delivery of high-quality programs and services.
  • Grant Management: Manage and report on grant-funded programs and services, ensuring compliance with grant requirements and regulations.
  • Marketing and Promotion: Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote our health and wellness programs and services to our members and the broader community.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as health education, recreation, or a related field.
  • Experience: Two or more years of experience in a leadership position working with youth, preferably in the area of recreational activities.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations. Proficient in Microsoft Office and other software applications.
Working Conditions:

This position requires a great deal of movement, bending, twisting, and reaching, as well as computer work. Activity may be indoors or outdoors.
