Job Summary

Cielo Talent is seeking a highly skilled Project Director to manage capital projects from conception to completion. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing projects from beginning to end, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Development: Develop project objectives, execution strategies, and project plans, including cost-benefit evaluations, alternative analysis, project estimates, funding requests, scope development, and execution planning.
  • Project Management: Manage projects with cross-functional teams, ensuring projects are safe, on schedule, on budget, and meet the intended purpose and performance.
  • Contracting Strategies: Develop and implement contracting strategies, including specifications, qualifications, evaluations, expediting, factory testing, and payment management.
  • Leadership and Communication: Provide strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills to make critical project decisions, ensuring program targets (cost, schedule, performance, inventory build) are satisfied.
  • Team Collaboration: Coordinate cross-functional team communications between all stakeholders, ensuring seamless project execution.
  • Engineering Services: Provide various engineering technical services to the plants upon request.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree or greater in Engineering from an accredited university.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in project management of multi-disciplined, small project portfolios to large industrial construction projects ($1M - $100 MM or more).
  • Safety-First Culture: Demonstrate a safety-first culture, high ethical standards, and construction safety experience and demonstrated safety leadership.
  • Leadership Skills: Positive can-do attitude, excellent communication and organizational skills, and well-developed leadership, problem-solving, analytical, and negotiation skills.
  • Industry Knowledge: Proficiency with Construction industry Institute (CII) and Project Management Institute (PMI) concepts, knowledge of engineering, procurement, construction, project-related activities, interfaces, and interdependencies.
  • Project Controls: Experience with project controls, including critical path scheduling, resource loading, and cost control, including earned value.
  • Conflict Resolution: Ability to resolve conflicts and solve problems throughout a project lifecycle.
  • Change Management: Knowledge and appreciation of managing change and operational readiness, ensuring new equipment and/or facilities are comprehensively ready to run and fully maintained relative to spare parts, Oracle Trees built, BOM's attached, Preventive Maintenance procedures uploaded, safety and operating procedures attached, drawings uploaded.
