Job Title: Managing Director

At PRA Business Events, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Managing Director to lead our local office in Salt Lake City/Park City. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the management of our office Sales, Creative, and Operations functional areas, providing day-to-day support and guidance to our local team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee management of office Sales, Creative, and Operations functional areas, providing day-to-day support and guidance to the local team.
  • Support local recruiting, onboarding, and training efforts of new team members.
  • Create and maintain a positive work culture and environment by mentoring and motivating team members.
  • Lead local business development efforts, including building and maintaining hotel and supplier partnerships, relationships with local industry partners, developing Sales strategy and marketing plans, and product development.
  • Support team with site inspection planning and execution and client presentations to win business opportunities for targeted accounts.
  • Lead the Sales process on highly strategic, large-scale revenue opportunities.
  • Represent the office in local industry functions.
  • Collaborate with Regional Vice-President on the development and implementation of business strategies supporting PRA's corporate initiatives.
  • Collaborate and support the Operational team to ensure flawless program development and execution.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Working knowledge of computer usage, including database, Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally through email and phone with clients, suppliers, and Field Staff.
  • Possess proactive and analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of local area attractions, hotels, city streets, parks, and other venues.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including general office hours, weekends, frequent evenings, and some holidays.
  • Ability to work within deadline constraints and set priorities.
  • Possess a professional manner and appearance when representing PRA.
  • Ability to perform multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize responsibilities and work assignments.
