Creative Project Manager

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Project Manager to join our in-house creative team at Backcountry. This key role will be responsible for the successful delivery of our creative efforts, managing the process and coordination of all activities, and ensuring that all various moving parts of a project come together as one and on time.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the overall workflow, process, and project delivery of the in-house creative team.
  • Manage the timely flow of multiple projects from conception through completion in the department work queue.
  • Partner with the brand team, creative director, and art directors to manage creative briefs and ensure they are specific, clear, and comprehensive.
  • Create and implement Sprint project management for the Copy team and Design team.
  • Oversee Wrike training and template updates.
  • Create and maintain project timelines and estimates with team input.
  • Function as a key liaison between internal/external creative team and business stakeholders.
  • Maintain transparency and be proactive.
  • Facilitate team meetings for creative reviews.
  • Ensure that the traffic/department processes are followed.
  • Facilitate prioritization and/or resourcing decisions when capacity constraints require trade-offs.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • Experience creating detailed project schedules and developing creative/production estimates.
  • Thorough understanding of all aspects of the creative process from briefing through production.
  • Excellent organization, prioritization, and project management skills.
  • Ability to manage a high degree of detail and balance competing priorities.
  • Ability to seek and share information, and deliver it effectively and concisely.
  • Proactive self-starter with ability to maintain an upbeat, positive attitude.
  • Interest or passion for the outdoor industry.
  • Wants to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
