Accounts Payable Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Accounts Payable Manager to join our team at LAZ Parking. As a key member of our financial operations team, you will be responsible for managing the vendor payment process, ensuring timely and accurate payment of liabilities, and providing leadership and guidance to the A/P team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the vendor payment process, including processing invoices, verifying compliance with policies and procedures, and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the A/P team, including mentoring and training to ensure high levels of performance and productivity.
  • Assist in the development and adherence to A/P policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee the processing of vendor payments, including printing checks, producing ACH batches, and working directly with outside vendors and regional managers.
  • Supervise the 1099 reporting process, ensuring compliance with IRS rules and regulations.
  • Perform other special projects as required, including analyzing and improving processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience in Accounts Payable, with a strong background in financial operations and vendor management.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, effectively manage time, and respond to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent analytical and mathematical skills, with the ability to learn quickly and take initiative.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external vendors.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull at least 25 pounds, with a strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.

Education:

  • Associates degree or higher, with a strong preference for a degree in a related field such as accounting or finance.
