Department: Juvenile Probation
Role Overview
In this position, you will be responsible for performing various clerical and administrative tasks under close supervision, contributing to the efficient operation of the department.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute a range of office duties, including managing incoming communications, assisting visitors, and maintaining accurate data within computer systems.
- Support records management activities, ensuring the proper handling of documents.
- Organize and maintain filing systems, as well as sort and retrieve various forms and documents.
- Carry out additional job-related tasks as assigned.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
At least one (1) year of general office experience.
Additional Requirements:
Must hold a valid Arizona driver's license.
Essential Skills and Knowledge
Knowledge of:
- Clerical procedures and office practices relevant to departmental operations.
- Data processing systems and software.
- Business English, including spelling, grammar, and composition.
- Research methods and report generation.
- Current Microsoft Office applications.
- Effective filing and recordkeeping techniques.
- Effective verbal and written communication.
- Building and maintaining professional relationships.
- Organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Maintain accurate records and prepare detailed reports.
- Follow both written and verbal instructions.
- Develop and sustain effective working relationships with colleagues and external partners.
- Handle confidential information with discretion.
- Act with professionalism and courtesy.
This role is primarily office-based, with a well-lit and comfortable workspace.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods, with sufficient vision and hearing to perform job duties effectively. Must be capable of lifting up to 30 pounds.
