About the Position:

Job Summary:

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a high level of organizational and communication skills. As a Court Operations Coordinator, you will be responsible for supervising clerical and support personnel, planning and coordinating activities, and evaluating the performance of team members.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervision and Training: Supervise, train, and evaluate clerical and support personnel to ensure they are meeting performance expectations.
  • Operational Planning: Plan, coordinate, and evaluate the activities of several units or separate functions to ensure efficient and effective operations.
  • Program Development: Develop and implement new or revised operating procedures, as well as various programs to improve departmental performance.
  • Exhibit Management: Receive, mark, and release exhibits for trials and evidentiary hearings, and maintain the exhibit closet at the Verde Courthouse.
  • Scheduling and Personnel: Determine employee work schedules and participate in all personnel-related activities.
  • Financial Analysis: Analyze departmental financial and project data and make recommendations to improve performance.
  • Deputy Clerk Duties: Perform duties of deputy clerk when necessary and extract data for reports.
  • Other Duties: Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: A minimum of three (3) years of progressively responsible clerical and/or general office experience, to include three (3) years in a supervisory or lead capacity.
  • Additional Requirements: Must possess a valid Arizona driver's license.
Skills and Abilities:
  • Knowledge: Court system rules, statutes, and regulations governing the department, Arizona Code of Conduct for Judicial Employees, and Clerk of Court and Yavapai County policies.
  • Skills: Time management, effective communication, establishing and maintaining effective working relationships, organization, and adherence to detail.
  • Abilities: Review or check the work of others, complete detailed work accurately, maintain confidentiality, adhere to department standards, and work under pressure in a dynamic environment.
Physical Requirements:

Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time, sufficient vision to read printed materials and a computer screen, hearing and speech ability to communicate effectively in-person and telephonically, capable of frequent repetitive movement of arms, fingers, and wrists, and ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
